The East Alabama Chapter of the Alabama Archaeological Society


meets at the Rouse Life Sciences Building on the Auburn University campus the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The Rouse Building is on the Corner of College Street and Samford Avenue - across from the BBQ House. Everyone is invited.

Past programs have included the following presentations: Pre-Inca and Inca Sites in Peru and Bolivia Restoration of Beans Mill (on US 29 in Lee County, Alabama) A Journey to Creek Indian Towns, Circa 1775; The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in Alabama; Archaeological Evidence of Earthworks associated with Atlanta Campaign; An Analysis of Fort Mitchell's Military Buttons; Designs & Patterns found in the Beadwork of SE Prehistoric & Historic Native Americans; Reconstruction of a ProtoHistoric (Native American) Community; Archaeological Investigations of Stone Structures along Choccolocco Mountain; and The Southern Frontier: The Creek War and War of 1812 in the Gulf South.
