What, exactly, do academic advisors do? Well, basically, all academic advisors help students understand and complete  academic requirements. In addition, IST advisors are responsible for helping majors choose and design an individualized field of study (IST alternative to the traditional major.) We're a hand for helping, a shoulder for crying, an ear for listening, and a nose for news that can help make your college experience enjoyable and worthwhile. If you have a problem, contact us.

And what, exactly, is the purpose of this web page? Well, it is not a virtual advisor. We believe in personal contact whenever possible and individualized advice for specific situations. But a computer is a wonderful resource; we plan to have general information available at this site as well as departmental forms you can download as necessary.
