  Prerequisite GPA - A prerequisite GPA of 3.00 is required for admission to the program and the courses must be completed by the end of the Fall Term of the application year.  A minimum grade of "C" is required in the prerequisite courses.  The prerequisites in the curriculum below are in bold italics   CATEGORY II APPLICANTS - ADVANCED UNDERGRADUATES - must have completed 96 semester (144 quarter) hours of prerequisite and elective work.

Students who have completed a bachelor's degree are considered Category I applicants and should follow the requirements for Graduate Students.  

GRADUATE COURSES - The eight-semester graduate program is the same for both Category I - Regular Graduate and Category II - Advanced Undergraduate students.  Students will be held to the same standards as determined by the graduate program.

Advanced Undergraduate applicants are to select a "backup major" of their choice in the junior year in the event they are not accepted into the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree program.

 

  Extra Points - Extra points are given to an applicant who has completed any of the courses listed below with a grade of "B" or higher.

  • OT 201 - Introduction to Occupational Therapy
  Observation - Extra points are given to applicants who complete observation hours with a licensed occupational therapist.
25 hours = 1 point
50 hours = 2 points
75 hours = 3 points
