CATEGORY I APPLICANTS ( REGULAR GRADUATE STUDENTS) must hold a bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited college or university, and complete the prerequisites for regular graduate admission.

Students who have not completed a bachelor's degree, but have completed 96 semester (or 144 quarter) hours of prescribed prerequisites and electives may apply as Category II - Advanced Undergraduates.

     
                Prerequisite Courses

  
A prerequisite GPA of 3.00 is required for admission to the program and the courses must be completed by the end of the Fall Term of the application yearA minimum grade of "C" is required in each prerequisite course.

  • General Psychology
  • Developmental Psychology
  • Abnormal Psychology
  • Precalculus Algebra
  • Statistics
  • General Biology I / Lab
  • Human Anatomy & Physiology I
  • Human Anatomy & Physiology II
  • Kinesiology
  • Public Speaking or Small Group Discussion or Comm & Group Processes or Logic or Ethics
  • Intro Computer Applications (or documented computer competency)
  • First Aid (or documented CPR competency)
 

                        Extra Points
  
     Extra points are given to an applicant
    who has completed any of the courses
    listed below  with a grade of "B" or higher.

  • Anthropology (300+ level) courses
  • Microbiology or Infectious Diseases
  • Human Anatomy
  • Human Physiology
  • Pathophysiology
  • General Chemistry I / Lab
  • General Chemistry II / Lab
  • Medical Terminology
  • Physics with Alg/Trig I
  • Physics with Alg/Trig II
  • Sociology (300+ level) courses
  • OT 201 - Introduction to Occupational Therapy

        Extra points are given to applicants completing
    observation hours with a licensed occupational
    therapist.
      25 hours = 1 point
      50 hours = 2 points
      75 hours = 3 points
