Previous Education: Birmingham-Southern College - political science major and French minor; University of Alabama – Master of social work; UAB – PA pre-requisites
Previous Medical Experience: It’s not clinical, but I worked at UAB Hospital for close to 2 years in a social work capacity, as an in-house Family Support Coordinator for the Alabama Organ Center. My experience was mostly in the Neuro and Trauma ICU’s.
Hobbies: reading, cooking, traveling
Family: just me and my child, I mean dog, Phoebe (7 year-old lab mix)
Advice to future students: Be sure you really want to be a PA because the program is demanding – academically and otherwise. But it’s well worth the effort. And savor your free time now.
