Students enrolled in the Cardiorespiratory Care program at the University of South
Alabama receive clinical experience at eleven health care facilities. The students
benefit from rotating among these eleven hospitals because each hospital is run differently.
The group of hospitals belonging to the University of South Alabama is teaching and
research centers. The other clinical affiliates are categorized as either for-profit,
non-profit, or hospice. Students earn valuable clinical experience from exposure to
these diverse types of institutions. In addition to refining their skills, students
learn how these different types of hospitals function.
