M.D. Program
The M.D. Programs awards the Doctor of Medicine Degree. The first two years are taught on the main campus of the University in the Medical Sciences building. The second two (clinical) years are taught in the University of South Alabama Hospitals and Care Centers, as well as in offices of community physicians. more>>

Ph.D. in Basic Medical Sciences
The Ph.D. degree in Basic Medical Science is designed for students interested in careers in biomedical investigation. It provides training which can lead to academic careers in medical institutions and universities or to a wide variety of research or administrative positions in government, nonprofit or industry settings. more>>

M.D. / Ph.D. is available. Interested students apply to both the M.D. and the Ph.D. programs independently.
