Comrades Of Courage is a University of South Alabama (USA) Student Organization. It was founded by Staci Balsan and Paul McGowan, both seniors at South Alabama, in 2003 to support USA's student, alumni, staff, and administration, but most especially those with special needs in the handicapped community of South Alabama and Mobile. C O C seeks to raise awareness of the various issues facing people with special needs while dispelling long-held assumptions of the so-called ( DIS)-abilities of those with living with a physical or mental handicaps.
We work with the USA administration to ensure that changes are being made to the campus to render it Barrier-Free in the near future. This is an on-going process which has seen many triumphs benefiting everyone in the USA community. However, the job of making changes is a job which requires a lot of work. That is where you can help—Join Us and be a link in the Chain of Change at South Alabama.
It does not make a difference whether you are handicapped or not, everyone will be welcomed warmly! Whether you are a student, alumnus, administrator, professor, or staff, your voice is needed in the process of change at South Alabama and in the Mobile Community.
