Our communities face many social issues and challenges. Many of these issues and challenges are precursors to, aggravated by or the result of the abuse of alcohol and drugs. Consequently, the goal of this conference is to enhance the capacity of professionals and organizations to meet the prevention, treatment and recovery needs of our communities. The sessions are intended to promote current, practical, pertinent, evidence-based, creative, ethical, culturally sensitive, simple and complex prevention and treatment services.

Opportunities

The Gulf Coast Conference is designed to provide professionals from diverse fields such as education, mental health, nursing, law enforcement, business and industry opportunities for:

  • Professional Development
The conference will offer germane learning opportunities on the prevention and treatment of alcohol and drug abuse for professionals working in the field of addition services.
  • Networking/Collaboration/Alignment
The conference will provide an opportunity for professionals in the field of addiction services and prevention to connect with other professionals and organizations offering services.  It  will also provide occasion for various agencies and organizations to collaborate and or gain a higher level of shared understanding.
  • Motivation/Award Ceremonies
Recognizing the high level of stress and burnout in this field, the conference strives to reenergize, reinvigorate and renew participant’s commitment to the field and to recognize outstanding service.
