University Power Outage
A campus-wide* University power outage for electrical maintenance is scheduled to
take place during the Winter Break. This power outage will take place on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (12 Hrs). *USA Grove Housing will not be impacted by this outage.
Although students registered for break housing are able to remain in their residence
hall during this time, remember that during an electrical outage all lighting, power
outlets, air conditioning, heating, and internet will be affected.
How to prepare for the power outage:
- Computers and other electronic equipment are sensitive to electrical outages. We recommend
equipment before the outage.
- Special refrigerated items may need to be removed as refrigerators and freezers will
not have power during this
- For rooms with stoves/ovens: Remember to check that all cooking appliances are turned off before the outage
and ensure that no items are left inside or on top of the unit.
