You must be admitted to the University in order to apply for Housing. You may apply for housing online in PAWS by clicking the button on the left, and
following the instructions below. The Fall 2015 housing contract is no longer available online in PAWS. Student who
are interested in Fall 2015 housing should contact/visit the Housing & Dining Business Office to apply or receive additional information.
Instructions to apply in PAWS:
Select Apply for Housing > Enter your Jag # and Pin > Select Student Services
> Select Housing > Select New Students - Apply for University Housing
A $150.00 approved credit card payment is required to complete the housing contract
online. A copy of the completed online contract will be emailed to the student University
email address within three business days. PLEASE NOTE: Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox are the only browsers compatible
with the online payment system.

who's Residence Hall Contract and $150 Prepayment has been received by May 1st.
Still prefer to put pen to paper??? The residence hall contract is also located above in a printable PDF form. You should
send in your completed contract indicating your room preferences along with your prepayment
as soon as possible. Contracts are processed according to the date the contract and
prepayment are received.
Have a Roommate Request??? Note your roommate request on the contract with the students name and Jag number.
All roommate requests must be mutual and received by April 30.
When are Room Assignments made??? New Fall Semester Students: For all fall housing contracts received by May 1st, students will be notified of
their room assignment by University email (JagMail) the first week of June. Fall contracts
received after May 1st through June 30th will be assigned by mid-July. Room assignments will
continue to be made as needed until check-in. New Spring Semester Students: Room assignments for new spring semester students are made in mid-December based
on the date the student's contract and prepayment are received. Assignments are based on space availability at the time the assignments are made.
Housing assignments are made without regard to race, creed, or national origin.
How will I know when I have a Room Assignment??? Roommate assignments and roommate information are viewable in PAWS once your assignment
has been made. After assignments are made, you will receive an email (sent to your JagMail account)
with instructions on how to view your assignment in PAWS.
When do I have to pay for my Housing and Meal Plan charge??? All University charges, including Housing and Meal Plan charges are due by the fifth
day of classes.
What if I want to change room assignments before I come to school in the Fall??? There will be two room change periods in the summer for new students, one in June
and one in July. Monitor your University email account for specific dates and times.

All Residence Hall Contracts Must Be Accompanied By A $150.00 Housing Payment. An
original Residence Hall contract and prepayment must be sent together to the University
of South Alabama Housing & Dining.
Contractual Obligation of the Residence Hall Contract
All Residence Hall contracts that originate in the fall semester are two semester
contracts (fall and spring semesters). If you sign a Residence Hall contract for fall
semester and remain enrolled for the following spring semester, you are obligated
to the Residence Hall contract, which includes responsibility for paying the room
rent and meal plan for that spring semester. During the contract period, you may change
housing areas or rooms after the second week of classes by completing the necessary
paperwork in your community office.
