P. Aeruginosa

The respiratory research illustrated above is to understand how pathogens such as P. aeruginosa interact with the endothelium and suequently cause fluid accumulation in the airspace and acute respiratory distress syndrome, NIH-funded award PO1 H066299 (PI, Troy Stevens). Several investigators from the Center for Lung Biology contributed to the funded grant award. This image was acquired by investigators from Project 2, a collaboration between Diego Alvarez, Silas Leavesley, and Thomas Rich. The Nikon A1R confocal microscope system acquiring this image is supported by NIH S10 RR027535 (PI, Thomas Rich).
