Victim's Advocate Program

The Victim's Advocate Program is a confidential resource on campus for individuals who have experienced sexual misconduct. Victim Advocates are trained by Mobile Rape Crisis Center, and are graduate students, alumni, or faculty/staff of the University. Advocates can be contacted by the victim directly through the Victim's Advocate Program Hotline, or by Housing, USAPD, Student Health Center, or anyone else acting on behalf of the survivor.  

Victim's Advocate Program Hotline is (251)-460-7151 and can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

The Victim Advocate’s goals are to:

  • Enhance the victim’s recovery
  • Help to return to pre-crisis state
  • Provide emotional support
  • Provide appropriate information and referrals including for 
    criminal charges, Title IX complaints, student disciplinary process, alternative housing assignments, academic assistance alternatives,  
    medical procedures, etc.
