Application Deadline:  April 1                                             $2,500 nonrenewable Scholarship


The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) is pleased to announce the establishment of an engineering scholarship specifically for residents of Alabama who are attending an Alabama university. This scholarship is made possible through a generous sponsorship donation from Mercedes-Benz U. S. International (MSUSI).

ELIGIBILITY
All applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • resident of the state of Alabama and U. S. Citizen
  • enrollment in a university located in Alabama
  • college junior who will enter senior year in the fall of 2000
  • declared major in manufacturing engineering or a mobility-related engineering discipline

SELECTION
Selection will be determined by Mercedes-Benz.  Eligible applicants will be judged on

  • academic and leadership achievement
  • major course of study
  • essay content
  • declared intent to pursue a career in manufacturing or related engineering following graduation
