Forest Hill Elementary Cooperating Teachers

Ms. Dena Armbrecht

Dena Armbrecht teaches fifth grade at Forest Hill Elementary School. She has been teaching for 10 years and has earned a Bachelor's of Science/Psychology and an MAT in Elementary Education from Spring Hill College. Currently, Ms. Armbrecht is pursuing an AA certificate as a Reading Specialist.

Ms. Linda Carter

Linda Carter teaches fourth grade at Forest Hill Elementary School. She has been teaching for three years and has quite an extensive education. She has earned a BS in Finance and a BS in Communication Studies from California State University, Bakersfield. In addition, she has earned an MAT from Springhill College. Ms. Carter plans to seek a doctorate degree in education within the next few years.

Ms. Debbie Phillips

Debbie Phillips is a second grade teacher at Forest Hill Elementary School. She has earned a Master's degree in Elementary Education and has been teaching for 12 years. She has been named the Teacher of the Year in 1996, 1997, and 2002. Ms. Phillips has also participated in the Reading Renaissance Model Classroom and as a cooperating teacher for Springhill College and the University of South Alabama. Ms. Phillips is the proud mother of three boys.

Ms. Kim Singleton

Kim Singleton is a second grade teacher at Forest Hill Elementary School. Out of her 25 years of teaching experience, she has taught for 23 years at Forest Hill! She has earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Springhill College. Ms. Singleton has been named the MCPSS Teacher of the Year in 1994 and 2001. In addition, she is a mother of five and has a morning paper route to help send two of her children to college. Needless to say, there is never a dull moment in her life!
