The House Ways and Means Committee has finally recommended $3,000,000 funding for the Alabama Virtual Library and the full House passed the bill on April 13th. Now is the time to thank your House member for his/her support and petition your Senator to vote for AVL funding.
What is it? "The Alabama Virtual Library (AVL) is a proposal to provide all students, teachers, and citizens of the State with online access to essential library and information resources. Through the AVL, an equitable core of information sources will be available to every student and citizen in Alabama, raising the level of excellence in schools and communities across the State."
