gender Inn was designed to be an interdisciplinary database in feminist studies, so it covers research in literature, sociology, pedagogy, history and psychology. Its primary emphasis, however, is on literary criticism. gender Inn includes mainly monographs and essay collections; journal articles are only added in special cases. This database also does not include items that the designers feel can be easily found in a standard bibliography on the topic. gender Inn provides two search methods; a simple query and an advanced query. The advanced query allows you to specify the field the engine searches (complete text, author, title, abstract, thesaurus, publisher) and to narrow your search by publication year.
