Lexis-Nexis is listed on the on the Articles and Indexes page of the University Library homepage. Its strength is in its coverage of full-text newspaper articles, movie reviews and much more.
Dissertation Abstracts International is on the Articles and Indexes page of the University Library homepage and contains citations and abstracts of dissertations and masters' theses. For those completed at South Alabama, full-text electronic access is free. For dissertations and theses done at other universities, it offers easy payment options and web access.
TIP: You might try Interlibrary Loan to see if you can get free access to dissertations and theses before you shell out the dough.

Then access text-only version at: http://www.iath.virginia.edu/pmc/text-only/c. To determine if a journal is available in a full-text electronic format go to: USA's Full Text Electronic Journal Holdings on the Articles and Indexes page of the University Library homepage. Find your journal by title. The list will identify which databases or collections USA subscribes to and give you a link to that database so that you can search for your article.
TIP: Often it is easier to use the Advanced Search on databases to retrieve items for which you have author or article title.
