As your son or daughter begins his or her college career at South Alabama, he or she will find that there are several organizations to become involved in on campus. Although each and every one of these organizations will contribute to your child's development as a student, none of them is quite as exciting and rewarding as becoming a member of a sorority or fraternity.
The Greek community at South Alabama gives students a unique opportunity to become engaged the moment they step foot on campus. By joining a Greek-Letter organization, your son or daughter will have the opportunity to develop valuable leadership skills, pursue academic excellence, serve the USA and Mobile communities, and make lasting friendships that will be treasured forever.
Our Fraternity and Sorority Community have had a higher GPA then the all men's and women's averages for the past three semesters. Our students take pride in being successful in the classroom.
Our community has donated over $60,000.00 dollars in 2014 and logged over 25,000 hours in community service. Each organization hosts a signature philanthropy event where they raise money for the national and local philanthropies.
Greek organizations at South Alabama also pride themselves on their brotherhood and sisterhood. Many chapters host monthly events where their membership get together and do fun activities.
Our students are actively involved in many facets of Campus Life. All of our chapters participate in campus intramurals and many chapter members hold leadership positions in other student organizations.
Our Office is located on the first floor of the Student Center in the Student Life Suite. If you have any questions please feel free to call Landry Underwood, Coordinator of Greek Life at 251-460-7003 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
