The University of South Alabama is one of the best choices on the Gulf Coast for university based summer camps and/or conferences. The primary function of Conference Housing is to provide quality service and accommodations for groups that come to the University of South Alabama with an educational or athletic purpose.

We look forward to assisting you with any of your conference housing needs.  For all other conference needs please begin your planning process by contacting the Center for Continuing Education & Conference Services at (251) 405-9930 (i.e. dining, meeting space reservations, on-site management, etc.).

Dates of Operation

Conference Housing availability each year is based on USA’s academic calendarFor 2016, housing availability begins Monday, May 23rd and ends on Saturday, July 23rd. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate requests in August as our staff is preparing the halls and apartments for the school year.

Reservation Requests
Conference Housing reservation requests generally begin being submitted in November for the following summer. Groups are encouraged to submit their reservation request as soon as possible as space fills quickly! Once the reservation request has been submitted and reviewed by Conference Housing, a pre-conference invoice will be generated and emailed to the group coordinator. This pre-conference invoice will offer a breakdown of the total anticipated cost for your conference's stay with us. The group coordinator will be asked to review the document at your earliest convenience. The priority deadline to return signed pre-conference invoices will be May 1, 2016 in order to guarantee accommodations. Before beginning your request process, please review the Conference Housing Guide which includes all the need to know information (i.e. encouraged timeline, policies, procedures, etc.). Please Note: All Conference Housing info (rates, building availability, and Conference Housing Guide) should be updated for Summer 2016 on our site no later than early November of this year.

Group Supervision
Groups whose participants are of pre-college age must provide and pay associated costs for live-in, adult advisors/chaperones. We require a ratio of at least one adult for every ten (10) participants.

Please contact Conference Housing by email for additional information or to get started planning your next summer camps or conference. We look forward to working with you!
